Will there be a parade?Yes. The Buffalo Grove Days Parade is set to return Sunday, September 3 at 11 am This year's route will head south on Buffalo Grove Road (from LaSalle), west on Deerfield Parkway, ending at Mike Rylko Community Park where the rest of the BG Days activities are held. For more details on how your business or organization can join the celebration and participate, visit the activities page.
Will events like the Barbeque Challenge and Car Show be back?Yes! For details on all of the fun happenings, see the activities page of this website.
Will there be fireworks?Unfortunately, no. Due to the proximity of homes to the festival grounds, it is not safe to conduct a fireworks show at Mike Rylko Community Park. If the fireworks returned to the Buffalo Grove Golf Course, where they’ve been held in past years, the show would not be visible from the festival grounds. It would also overburden the police and fire resources by having to support crowd management at both locations. The Village of Buffalo Grove continues to host Fourth of July fireworks at Willow Stream Park.
