Every year, the Buffalo Grove Days Committee and the Commission for Residents with Disabilities teams up to present the Fun & Food Program. This is a special program for people with disabilities and their immediate families (living in the same household) to enjoy the fun of the festival.
This program, designed for some of our most valued residents, runs from 10:00 am to Noon on Monday, September 5th. It includes carnival rides, lunch and entertainment, and features Personalities Inc. spinning songs for dance and entertainment. Also featured are some of your favorite characters from our local sports teams – Benny the Bull, Staley the Chicago Bear, Tommy Hawk, and Skates. And of course, Magic by Randy will amaze everyone!
Advanced Registration is required, as this program relies on the generosity of its sponsors for the food and gifts. This year we are required to limit the number of free participants from a family to a total of five (5), including the disabled resident. Additional family members will each be charged a $10 fee. Please register by September 1st at Village Hall, or call 847-808-5555, ext. 4.
A disability accessible shuttle bus will be Monday from Town Center to the Festival grounds, beginning approximately 10:00 am. The courtesy disability golf cart shuttle will also operate all weekend on the Festival grounds.
Also returning this year will be the CRD Buddy Baseball Exhibition Game on Saturday, September 3rd at 4:00 pm at Kendrigan Field at Twin Creeks Park.Come and cheer on your favorite athlete for this very special game!
